To Well With You is a place where we can talk about all those things and more.
I’m a certified wellness coach, but don’t get the idea that limits our topics to diet and exercise. It’s where a lot of people want to start, but wellness is so much more than that. I take a holistic approach, and my job is to bring out your intrinsic motivation for improving whatever area of your life you think could use some tweaking … or a complete overhaul.
I’m not your mother, your priest or your drill sergeant. My job is not to tell you what to do or try to send you on a guilt trip (baggage included) if you don’t follow through; my job is to help you figure out what you want to change and why (with a big emphasis on the why) and then help you set goals that will put you well on the path you choose.
Change is hard.
Let me repeat that: CHANGE IS HARD.

Because, news flash: CHANGE IS HARD. But it’s easier with a friend. Or a coach, or a mentor, whatever you want to call me. Just don’t call me late for dinner. (Sorry, couldn’t resist.)
I’ve made some difficult changes in my life – some that stuck and some that didn’t – and I wish I’d had more support from those who’d gone through those same challenges and come out stronger and wiser for the journey. Not that I asked for help and was turned down – it’s just that life is busy (another news flash), and asking for help takes guts. Sometimes I asked for help (and received it), and sometimes I tried to go it alone. Trust me, taking the journey with someone alongside is much better.
I’m much more likely to stick with a plan if someone’s holding me accountable and cheering me on, and I bet the same is true for you.
Think of me as your accountability buddy.
As a certified wellness coach, I’ve learned some techniques for drawing out your motivations. Mainly, we’ll just talk. You are the boss of you, because you are the expert on YOU. I just listen, ask questions and gently nudge you in a positive direction. You set the agenda, you make the goals, you have to look at yourself in the mirror every morning.
